安井仲治は、大阪に生まれた写真家。関西の写真倶楽部を舞台に、都市や人物、身のまわりのものを、実験的なまなざしで撮影した。新興写真の手法を取り入れつつ、対象を見つめる独自の感性で知られた。亡命するユダヤ人を撮った《流氓ユダヤ》など、時代の記録にも踏み込んだ。三十代の若さで没した。

Yasui Nakaji was a photographer born in Osaka. Working through the camera clubs of the Kansai region, he photographed the city, people, and the things around him with an experimental eye. While adopting the methods of New Photography (shinkō shashin), he was known for a distinctive sensibility in the way he gazed at his subjects. He also ventured into the record of his times, as in Ryūbō Yudaya (Wandering Jews), which photographed Jewish refugees. He died young, in his thirties.

Yasui Nakaji était un photographe né à Osaka. Au sein des clubs photographiques de la région du Kansai, il photographia la ville, les gens et les choses qui l'entouraient d'un regard expérimental. Tout en adoptant les procédés de la New Photography (shinkō shashin), il était connu pour une sensibilité singulière dans sa manière de scruter ses sujets. Il s'aventura aussi dans le témoignage de son temps, comme dans Ryūbō Yudaya (Juifs errants), où il photographia des réfugiés juifs. Il mourut jeune, dans la trentaine.
