保田龍門は、和歌山県に生まれた彫刻家・画家。東京美術学校で西洋画を学んだのちフランスに渡り、彫刻家ブールデルに学んで彫刻にも取り組んだ。絵画と彫刻の双方で制作し、人物像やレリーフを手がけた。郷里の和歌山にあって、美術教育や地域の美術振興にも長く尽くした。《母と子》などの作品を残した。

Yasuda Ryumon was a sculptor and painter born in Wakayama Prefecture. After studying Western-style painting at the Tokyo Fine Arts School, he traveled to France and took up sculpture under the sculptor Antoine Bourdelle. Working in both painting and sculpture, he produced figural works and reliefs. Based in his native Wakayama, he devoted himself over many years to art education and to the promotion of art in his region. He left works such as Haha to Ko (Mother and Child).

야스다 류몬은 와카야마현에서 태어난 조각가이자 화가이다. 도쿄미술학교에서 서양화를 배운 뒤 프랑스로 건너가 조각가 부르델에게 사사하여 조각에도 몰두했다. 회화와 조각 양쪽에서 제작하며 인물상과 부조를 다루었다. 고향 와카야마에 머물며 미술 교육과 지역 미술 진흥에도 오래도록 힘썼다. 《어머니와 아이》 등의 작품을 남겼다.

Yasuda Ryumon était un sculpteur et peintre né dans la préfecture de Wakayama. Après avoir étudié la peinture de style occidental à l'École des beaux-arts de Tokyo, il se rendit en France et aborda la sculpture auprès du sculpteur Antoine Bourdelle. Travaillant à la fois la peinture et la sculpture, il réalisa des figures et des reliefs. Installé dans sa Wakayama natale, il se consacra durant de longues années à l'enseignement de l'art et à la promotion artistique de sa région. Il laissa des œuvres telles que Haha to Ko (Mère et Enfant).

Yasuda Ryumon fue un escultor y pintor nacido en la prefectura de Wakayama. Tras estudiar pintura de estilo occidental en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Tokio, viajó a Francia y se inició en la escultura con el escultor Antoine Bourdelle. Trabajando tanto la pintura como la escultura, realizó figuras y relieves. Afincado en su Wakayama natal, se dedicó durante muchos años a la enseñanza del arte y al fomento artístico de su región. Dejó obras como Haha to Ko (Madre e hijo).

Yasuda Ryūmon war ein in der Präfektur Wakayama geborener Bildhauer und Maler. Nach dem Studium der Malerei westlichen Stils an der Kunsthochschule Tōkyō reiste er nach Frankreich und nahm beim Bildhauer Antoine Bourdelle die Bildhauerei auf. In Malerei und Bildhauerei zugleich tätig, schuf er Figuren und Reliefs. In seiner Heimat Wakayama ansässig, widmete er sich über viele Jahre der Kunsterziehung und der Förderung der Kunst in seiner Region. Er hinterließ Werke wie „Haha to Ko“ (Mutter und Kind).
