大澤雅休は、群馬県に生まれた書家。比田井天来に学び、古典の臨書を土台とした漢字書を制作した。確かな筆致による書とともに、書道の教育活動にも力を注ぎ、近代の書壇に関わった。群馬の地で後進の指導にもあたり、条幅などの作品を残した。

Osawa Gakyu was a calligrapher born in Gunma Prefecture. He studied under Hidai Tenrai and produced kanji calligraphy grounded in calligraphic study after the classics. Alongside his sure-handed work, he devoted himself to calligraphy education and took part in the modern calligraphy world. He also taught younger calligraphers in Gunma and left works such as jōfuku vertical scrolls.

오사와 가큐는 군마현에서 태어난 서예가이다. 히다이 덴라이에게 배워 고전의 임서를 토대로 한 한자서를 제작했다. 확실한 필치의 작품과 더불어 서예 교육 활동에도 힘써 근대 서단에 관여했다. 군마 지역에서 후진을 지도했으며 조폭(條幅) 등의 작품을 남겼다.

Osawa Gakyu était un calligraphe né dans la préfecture de Gunma. Élève de Hidai Tenrai, il produisit une calligraphie de kanji fondée sur l'étude calligraphique des classiques. À côté d'une œuvre à la main sûre, il se consacra à l'enseignement de la calligraphie et prit part au monde calligraphique moderne. Il forma aussi de jeunes calligraphes à Gunma et laissa des œuvres telles que des rouleaux verticaux jōfuku.
