尾上柴舟は、岡山県に生まれた歌人・かな書家。短歌の歌人として活動するとともに、かな書の近代的な教育と普及に貢献した。平安の古筆に学んだ優美なかな書を制作し、手本などを通じて多くの人に書を広めた。国文学者としても活動し、文学と書の双方に通じた。

Onoe Saishu was a waka poet and kana calligrapher born in Okayama Prefecture. Active as a tanka poet, he also contributed to the modern teaching and spread of kana calligraphy. He produced graceful kana calligraphy learned from the Heian kohitsu and brought calligraphy to many people through model copybooks and the like. He was active as a scholar of Japanese literature as well, versed in both literature and calligraphy.

오노에 사이슈는 오카야마현에서 태어난 가인·가나 서예가이다. 단카 가인으로 활동하는 한편, 가나서의 근대적 교육과 보급에 기여했다. 헤이안의 고히쓰에서 배운 우아한 가나서를 제작하고 본보기 등을 통해 많은 사람에게 서예를 널리 알렸다. 국문학자로도 활동하여 문학과 서예 양쪽에 통달했다.

Onoe Saishu était un poète waka et calligraphe de kana né dans la préfecture d'Okayama. Actif comme poète tanka, il contribua aussi à l'enseignement moderne et à la diffusion de la calligraphie kana. Il produisit une gracieuse calligraphie kana apprise des kohitsu de Heian et porta la calligraphie auprès de nombreuses personnes par des recueils-modèles et autres. Actif également comme spécialiste de la littérature japonaise, il était versé dans la littérature comme dans la calligraphie.

Realizó una grácil caligrafía kana aprendida de los kohitsu de Heian y acercó la caligrafía a muchas personas mediante cuadernos-modelo y similares. Activo asimismo como estudioso de la literatura japonesa, fue versado tanto en la literatura como en la caligrafía.

Onoe Saishu war ein in der Präfektur Okayama geborener Waka-Dichter und Kana-Kalligraf. Als Tanka-Dichter tätig, trug er auch zur modernen Vermittlung und Verbreitung der Kana-Kalligrafie bei. Er schuf eine an den Heian-Kohitsu gelernte anmutige Kana-Kalligrafie und brachte die Kalligrafie über Musterbücher und dergleichen vielen Menschen nahe. Er war auch als Forscher der japanischen Literatur tätig und sowohl in der Literatur als auch in der Kalligrafie bewandert.
