並河靖之は、京都に生まれた七宝家。金属の素地に細い金属線で文様の輪郭を作り、その中に色とりどりの釉薬を差して焼く「有線七宝（ゆうせんしっぽう）」を究めた。黒い地に花鳥を精緻に表す華麗な作風で、明治の輸出工芸を代表する作り手となった。海外の博覧会で高く評価され、帝室技芸員に任じられた。

Namikawa Yasuyuki was a cloisonné artist born in Kyoto. He perfected yūsen-shippō (wired cloisonné), in which the outlines of a design are formed with fine metal wires on a metal base and the cells filled with colored enamels before firing. With a lavish style depicting flowers and birds in fine detail on a black ground, he became a leading maker of Meiji-era export crafts. Highly praised at international expositions, he was appointed an Imperial Household Artist.

나미카와 야스유키는 교토에서 태어난 칠보 작가이다. 금속 바탕에 가는 금속선으로 무늬의 윤곽을 만들고 그 안에 색색의 유약을 넣어 굽는 「유선 칠보(유센시포)」를 완성했다. 검은 바탕에 화조를 정교하게 표현하는 화려한 작풍으로, 메이지 시기 수출 공예를 대표하는 작가가 되었다. 해외 박람회에서 높이 평가받아 제실기예원에 임명되었다.

Namikawa Yasuyuki était un artiste du cloisonné né à Kyoto. Il porta à sa perfection le yūsen-shippō (cloisonné à fils), où les contours d'un motif sont tracés au moyen de fins fils métalliques sur une base de métal, les alvéoles étant ensuite emplies d'émaux de couleur avant la cuisson. Avec un style somptueux figurant fleurs et oiseaux dans le détail sur fond noir, il devint un maître des arts d'exportation de l'ère Meiji. Très apprécié dans les expositions internationales, il fut nommé Artiste de la Maison impériale.

Namikawa Yasuyuki war ein in Kyoto geborener Cloisonné-Künstler. Er vervollkommnete das yūsen-shippō (drahtgefasstes Cloisonné), bei dem die Umrisse eines Musters mit feinen Metalldrähten auf einem Metallgrund gebildet und die Zellen vor dem Brand mit farbigem Email gefüllt werden. Mit einem prächtigen Stil, der Blumen und Vögel fein detailliert auf schwarzem Grund darstellt, wurde er zu einem führenden Hersteller von Exportkunsthandwerk der Meiji-Zeit. Auf internationalen Ausstellungen hoch gelobt, wurde er zum Hofkünstler (Teishitsu Gigeiin, ein vom Kaiserhaus ernannter Meister) berufen.
