三木淳は、岡山県に生まれた写真家。木村伊兵衛らに学び、アメリカの写真雑誌『ライフ』の専属カメラマンとして活躍した。吉田茂首相を写したグラフ誌の表紙など、戦後日本を国際的に伝える報道写真で知られる。報道・人物写真の分野で長く活動し、写真団体の運営や後進の指導を通じて、日本の写真界の発展を支えた。

Miki Jun was a photographer born in Okayama Prefecture. He studied under Kimura Ihei and others and worked as a staff photographer for the American magazine Life. He is known for documentary photographs that conveyed postwar Japan to an international audience, including a magazine cover featuring Prime Minister Yoshida Shigeru. Active over many years in documentary and portrait photography, he supported the development of Japanese photography through the running of photographic associations and the guidance of younger photographers.

Miki Jun était un photographe né dans la préfecture d'Okayama. Formé auprès de Kimura Ihei et d'autres, il travailla comme photographe attitré du magazine américain Life. Il est connu pour des photographies de presse qui faisaient connaître le Japon d'après-guerre à un public international, dont une couverture de magazine consacrée au Premier ministre Yoshida Shigeru. Actif durant de nombreuses années dans la photographie de presse et de portrait, il soutint le développement de la photographie japonaise par la direction d'associations photographiques et la formation de photographes plus jeunes.

Miki Jun war ein in der Präfektur Okayama geborener Fotograf. Er lernte unter anderem bei Kimura Ihei und arbeitete als angestellter Fotograf für das amerikanische Magazin Life. Bekannt ist er für dokumentarische Aufnahmen, die das Japan der Nachkriegszeit einem internationalen Publikum vermittelten, darunter ein Zeitschriftentitel mit Premierminister Yoshida Shigeru. Über viele Jahre in der Dokumentar- und Porträtfotografie tätig, unterstützte er durch die Leitung fotografischer Verbände und die Anleitung jüngerer Fotografen die Entwicklung der japanischen Fotografie.
