前田真三は、東京に生まれた風景写真家。四十代から本格的に写真の道に入り、日本各地の自然や農山村の風景を撮り歩いた。とりわけ北海道・美瑛の丘の風景を写した作品で広く知られ、なだらかな丘と畑がつくる情景を、多くの人に親しまれる風景写真として定着させた。身近な自然の美しさを伝える作品を数多く残した。

Maeda Shinzo was a landscape photographer born in Tokyo. He entered the path of photography in earnest from his forties, traveling about to photograph the nature and the scenery of farming and mountain villages across Japan. He is widely known above all for his works of the hilly scenery of Biei in Hokkaido, establishing the views formed by gentle hills and fields as landscape photography familiar to many. He left numerous works that convey the beauty of nature close at hand.

Maeda Shinzo était un photographe de paysage né à Tokyo. Il s'engagea véritablement dans la voie de la photographie à partir de la quarantaine, parcourant le Japon pour photographier la nature et les paysages des villages agricoles et de montagne. Il est surtout largement connu pour ses œuvres consacrées aux paysages vallonnés de Biei, à Hokkaidō, ayant fixé les vues formées par les douces collines et les champs comme une photographie de paysage familière à beaucoup. Il laissa de nombreuses œuvres qui transmettent la beauté de la nature proche.
